About Us
St. Joseph Health System - Humboldt
County (SJHS-HC) features two hospitals, located 25 miles from
each other along northern California's beautiful redwood coast:
St. Joseph Hospital is a full service acute care
state-of-the-art facility. Services include: Emergency
Department & newly remodeled Urgent Care Clinic, cardiac surgery
and recovery therapy in The Heart Institute, an accredited
Cancer Program, and Women's and Children's Services in The
Childbirth Center including Pediatric Care and a Level II
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nursery. SJH has begun building
a new patient care facility - scheduled to be completed in early
2011.
Redwood Memorial Hospital's holistic, patient-centered
care philosophy reflects our belief that treating the patient's
mind, body, and spirit (holism) and keeping the patient's needs
at the forefront of all decisions (patient-centered) results in
more rapid healing and a more positive experience for the
patient.
