Quality Auditor

The Quality Auditor’s primary responsibility is to carry out any and all tasks required to support the Positive Release (Continuous Verification Process – CVP) program to ensure acceptable quality throughout the operation as well as being a valued member of a production team that will become an interchangeable asset. The Auditor reports directly to the Quality Manager but as a valued member of the production team is accountable to Operations Staff as well.

  • Determine quality and suitability by studying drawings, specifications
    and formulas; verify specifications with engineering staff.
  • Identify raw material and in-process product condition by collecting material samples; conduct inspections and tests.
  • Determine disposition and acceptability of finished product and
    document it.
  • Maintain quality assurance operations.

Must be able to use: Microsoft Office Package (Intermediate Excel and Basic Word required), Data Myte SPC software, E-mail capabilities of Lotus Notes.


Mechanics

Under instruction and direction of a supervisor or lead person you’ll perform tasks of gradually increasing difficulty while developing a skill and level of performance to qualify for promotion. Requires some accuracy and regularity of sequence of muscular movement. As you gain knowledge of the trade practices, ability and skill in the operation and use of various machines, tools and equipment, as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul of machinery, increasingly more difficult work will be assigned. The formal training program provides the general sequence of instruction. You progress only when your ability, skill and proficiency are demonstrated.

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, technical material as provided and/or
    oral instructions
  • Work with all materials, tools and equipment and maintain, repair, overhaul and operate machinery in order to be exposed to all the phases of the trade
  • Perform duties with due regard for safety of self and fellow employees, exercise proper care and protection of company property

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following: attention to detail; read a blueprint and interpret sketches and other written information; follow oral instructions; some experience as a machinist; read, write and speak English; preferably has a trade school certificate; identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; communicate with supervisor and team members and work well in a group; focus on problem solving and open to new ideas; work with respect and integrity; follow policy and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time. Machinist experience making parts and cannery experience preferred. Math and reasoning skills required. Usual shift worked is 8 hours or 3.5 days 12 hours, 40-42 hrs/week. 30 day probationary period.
